Let’s talk cake smash sessions! | Alpharetta baby photographer

Hi friends,

You’ve all noticed the trend – cake smash sessions are most definitely the way to mark the one year milestone! Fun setups with balloon garlands and decorations sets the mood for your little one to dive into what might be their first taste of sugary cakey goodness.

For parents who are unsure about allowing cake due to potential allergies (or let’s be honest, mess!) there’s a solution that’s just as adorable! I have a variety of realistic fake cakes to use in your session. It’s also been quite helpful for those who leave the house in a rush before their session and leave their smash cake at home (yes, it’s happened more than once!).

By all accounts most babies love being the center of attention and diving into their first bites of birthday cake. My camera is there to catch all of the stages from start to finish. I have a wide variety of setups available – but of course we can discuss custom themes if you have something in mind. The most important thing is to schedule your session at least a month in advance, or at least six weeks in advance if you want the finished images to share on baby’s first birthday.

And no worries – we’ll have everything to clean up any mess from a real cake!
